This weekend we toast to the amazing fathers and men in our lives. To those we celebrate with today and to those who we have sadly lost along the way, Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Arbikie Distillery. 

AK's Gin

AK's Gin is a homage to the great man behind everything Arbikie has become. Sadly Alexander K Stirling passed away last year suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND). His memory will forever remain in the growth of Arbikie with AK having passed on his farming legacy to brothers; John, Iain and David, Owners and Directors of Arbikie Distillery. We’re thankful to have released AK’s Gin which is named after Mr Stirling and have it awarded ‘World’s Best Martini 2018’ before his passing- this Father's Day we will be raising a glass for AK. 

June is also an important month for us as it’s MND Awareness Month. We’re honoured to support this cause through our partnership with MND Scotland & The Euan MacDonald Centre with an ongoing donation of £1 from every bottle sale of AK’s Gin going towards MND funding and research.

Toasting to Father's Day

Ingredients

50ml Chilli Vodka
20ml lime juice
12.5ml sugar syrup
20ml pink grapefruit juice
Pinch of sea salt

Method

Shake. Double strain over ice. Chilli garnish.

AK's Greyhound

Ingredients

50ml AK's Gin
10ml Lemon Juice
10ml Agave Syrup
75ml Grapefruit Juice
Orange Bitters
50ml Soda

Method

Salt the rim of a glass and fill with ice. Add gin, bitters, lemon, agave and grapefruit and top up with soda. Garnish with rosemary.
