Providing a new experience for the discerning vodka drinker, a super-premium vodka has been launched by Arbikie, Scotland’s newest farm-to-bottle distillery. Find out more with our quick fire questions.

Q. What is unique about Arbikie Distillery?
This is the first distillery in Scotland producing both white and brown spirit, which will grow all their own ingredients from seed including potatoes for vodka, wheat for gin, and barley for Scotch. All distilling will follow traditional Scotch distilling methods in two copper pot stills as well as a column still. All bottling, labelling and packaging is carried out on site. Truly farm to glass.

We are a Single Estate Distillery where, as far as possible, everything is grown, distilled, bottled, matured and warehoused on the Estate as an extension of the farm. Our ultimate goal is to produce everything on Estate so we continue to look at ways of making this possible.

Q. What does the farm do now, what does it produce and where does it go?
The brothers are fourth generation farmers and custodians of the land. The farm covers 2000 acres and produces a number of crops. Largest of which is potatoes, but also barley, wheat and rape seed.

Q. How are you super-premium?
The story of all of our spirits starts with the raw ingredients. All are made from the purest of Estate-grown crops to ensure the highest quality and taste.

Once harvested we continue to intrinsically build quality into our products through the painstaking way they are made and our obsessive attention to detail – we like to think of them as perfectly nurtured spirits.

Q. What experience do you have in the drinks industry?
There are three members of staff who have over 50 years of drinks experience working for Diageo, Whyte & Mackay & Jim Beam Brands

Q. How is the business funded?
Entirely by the Stirling family.
