ARBIKIE DOES THE DOUBLE AT THE SAN FRANCISCO WORLD SPIRITS COMPETITION

Arbikie Highland Estate picked up a Gold medal for its ‘Kirsty’s Gin’ and a Bronze medal for its new Chilli Vodka at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Arbikie Highland Estate picked up a Gold medal for its ‘Kirsty’s Gin’ and a Bronze medal for its new Chilli Vodka at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Since its introduction in 2000, the competition has become one of the most respected and influential spirits competitions in the world.   This year’s competition featured more than 1,850 entries from across the world. Judges are comprised of spirits-industry experts and medal winners represent some of the finest products from around the world.

Arbikie Highland Estate is a two thousand acre farm to bottle distillery, which grows, distills, matures and bottles all on one location. Arbikie launched ‘Kirsty’s Gin’ in 2015 and is Scotland’s first gin to be distilled from scratch without using neutral grain spirit. The gin comprises of three local botanicals Kelp, Carline Thistle and Blaeberries.

Arbikie Chilli Vodka uses its award winning potato vodka as the base spirit and is infused with Chipotle Chillis grown in Scotland’s first chilli farm Chillilicious.  The vodka captures the ‘earthy smokiness’ of the chipotle giving the vodka an extra dimension than just heat.

These are the latest in a number of awards for Arbikie, having recently won Best UK Gin and Best UK Vodka at the World Gin Awards.

David Stirling, Owner, commented:

“We are delighted to have been awarded two medals at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition. As a resident of New York these medals are a massive coup and will help grow our brand in the USA, North America and across the globe.  The industry views the competition as one of the most prestigious in the world and to have won two medals on our first entry to the competition is fantastic.”
