Join Arbikie in raising a dram for World Whisky Day
World Whisky Day, founded by Blair Bowman, encourages everyone to celebrate all things Whisky. World Whisky Day occurs annually on the third Saturday in May and is celebrated by whisky fans across the globe with events, tastings and gatherings. This Saturday (15th May 2021) marks the tenth-year anniversary of World Whisky Day, calling for an even bigger celebration. Sadly, due to the unfortunate circumstances presented by Covid-19, Arbikie is unable to host an event or attend Whisky tastings to celebrate. However, this will not prevent us from raising a dram.

We have dedicated this week’s social media posts to World Whisky Day to celebrate our most recent release of Highland Rye 1794 and all of our Whisky achievements so far.
Our farm dates way back, with records of a distillery on the farm in 1794. This is how we came up with the name for our latest signature release of Highland Rye 1794 - reviving a genuinely authentic way of distilling. Arbikie’s single malt 1794 Highland Rye whisky is matured in a variety of casks including those previously used in the production of bourbon, sherry and red wine.
Highland Rye 1794:
Taste Profile: Cinnamon, allspice and a spicy burst tempered by sweet muscovado sugar and fresh honey.
Appearance: Amber tones, full body
Nose: Fresh cloves, nutmeg, Christmas cake spices, thyme, earthy notes, creamy butterscotch

World Whisky Day is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate our wonderful Whisky achievements over the past couple of years. These include winning ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the Scottish Whisky Awards in 2019, ‘Excellence in Sustainability’ at the Scottish Whisky Awards in 2020 and recently being awarded ‘Craft Producer of the Year’ by the Whisky Magazine with our new release of Highland Rye 1794 in 2021.
Let's raise a dram!
