Arbikie is launching their International Sustainable Cocktail Competition: The Highlands to the Islands.

Bartenders from London, New York and Philadelphia will be battling it out to win a place to compete in the 3 day final held in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Here the finalists will be put through the test of various challenges on the island; including running their own Arbikie sustainable pop up bar for one night, a mystery island ingredients round, followed by the grand finale evening to decide the winner.

We are asking entrants to create a cocktail that embodies Arbikie's Field to Bottle and sustainable ethos using locally sourced ingredients along with sustainable bar practices.

Our vision is to be the most sustainable distillery in the world so we are keen to promote sustainable drinking and zero-waste cocktails.

Simple practices such as sourcing local seasonal produce and using ingredients as a whole. If using citrus, for example thinking about peeling fruit prior to juicing to use the whole fruit, juice and peel for multiple uses. Things like raw pasta tubes or bamboo can also be used for straws to replace plastic.

Serving sustainable drinks, creates less waste and reduces a bar's environmental impact which will not only save money but is also more efficient.

Entrants must use at least 37.5ml/1.25oz of any Arbikie vodka or Arbikie gin product.
