On Thursday 13th August 2015 Arbikie joined forces with Ruffians Barbers in Edinburgh to celebrate the launch of our new drinks partnership.

The event celebrated the new summer partnership between the two Scottish brands, which has seen Ruffians serving Arbikie drinks to their clients on a daily basis, throughout August until the beginning of September.

Eileen Lynch, Brand Ambassador for Arbikie Highland Estate served up a delicious ‘Aviation’ cocktail using Arbikie’s Kirsty’s Gin and a ‘Tuscan Twilight’ using Arbikie Vodka.

The award winning Ruffians Barbers treated guests to beard trims and hair consultations, and a popular and inventive ‘potato stamping’ activity encouraged people to engage with Arbikie’s potato-based roots and Ruffians’ creative flair.

With a number of high profile guests, industry insiders and Ruffians clients, including the Scottish Rugby team, entrepreneur Kevin Dorren, celebrity chef Mark Heirs, fashion blogger The Everyday Man and Ice Hockey player turned model Tristan Harper. 

The evening capped off a busy but exciting period for Arbikie. In July, Arbikie launched ‘Kirsty’s Gin’ Scotland’s first farm to bottle gin named after our Master Distiller Kirsty Black. GQ Magazine also named Arbikie Vodka as one of the best vodkas in the world. We were delighted to be awarded such an accolade and to be in the company of some of the largest vodka brands in the world is a real coup!

The partnership between Ruffians and Arbikie is centred on a shared desire for a simple, effective and high-quality product, which has taken elements of traditional craftsmanship, translating it into a contemporary context.

Iain Stirling, Commercial Director at Arbikie, said “we thought Ruffians was the perfect venue to host an Arbikie party, as the clients have a discerning taste and are always up for trying new things. At Arbikie, we focus on a premium quality product created by authentic craftsmen and women, and the match with Ruffians works in this respect”.
