TRYANUARY

TRYANUARY

Part of a Community...

'Tryanuary' was established in 2015 but has rocketed this year. As we entered 2021 in a nation wide lockdown, the community supporting Tryanuary have helped to promote the beer industry. While many of us are working from home and the highlight of our weekend entails a takeaway and (more) time with the family... why not visit www.tryanuary.com to find out what local breweries (or bars) are offering delivery or online services to your area.

Arbikie have started the year by investing our efforts in supporting local businesses and by identifying the opportunities 'Tryanuary' and 'Veganuary' can offer to help prosper these businesses, that might be struggling the most. National Coordinator at Tryanauary, Mike Hampshire, has said ...

“Tryanuary is built on a strong sense of online community & we feel this year we are perfectly placed to help people with their mental health and wellbeing during the pandemic. This is by being part of our community whilst supporting the struggling beer industry at the same time.”

The idea behind Tryanuary, is to connect like-minded people. Through which a community can form and create support and engagement - this is ever more important as we enter a new year surrounded by ambiguity. Anyone has access to the website and it will guide you to who you can buy from, as well as hosted virtual events that are available.

We would now like to introduce you to a few Arbikie locals:

Toms Dundee

Toms are doing a cocktail delivery service! All you have to do is download the Zippy D app, available Friday's and Saturday's, where you can order anything from their delicious cocktail menu.

Tonic at Home

Tonic are a cocktail bar based in Edinburgh. To adapt to the current circumstances they have created 'Tonic at Home' to cater for all of your alcohol needs. They have even launched a January sale on package deals, so you can get more for less AND they are delivering to ALL UK postcodes for FREE.

3 Session Street

Unfortunately our good friends at Session Street aren't operating during lockdown, but we cannot wait to see them reopen their doors and serve up their top notch artisan food and drink. The Arbikie team miss you! Explore what Session Street has to offer through Instagram below:

FLÙR

FLÙR is an exciting new bar to the Glasgow area. Opening just one month ago, the team at FLÙR have remained open for takeaway sharing their stunning hybrid cocktails. As well as successfully operating as bottle and coffee shop- for the time being. We can't wait to see what these guys bring to the Glasgow bar scene when they can properly open their doors.

Bird & Bear

The team at bird and bear are currently working round the clock to bring everyone their favourite cocktails 7 days a week. Home delivery to help you through the long working week or to celebrate it being the weekend. Simply follow the link to their website and see what takes your fancy.

The Gate Glasgow

This next one really have it all worked out. Starting early in lockdown with a cocktail service, they have added an additional option on their website, 'create my cocktail'. In addition to choosing from some classics and bar originals, you can now mix together a bespoke cocktail unique to you. Making it nice and easy they have created a spirits and preference list, and a comments box to add that special twist - definitely worth a look.

El Tajin

A favourite of ours and super local to Arbikie Distillery, El Tajin. El Tajin are sadly unavailable for any takeaway or delivery however, this is definitely one to watch for their return. Arbikie have loved collaborating on previous events and look forward to working together again in the future- check out their Instagram page below!

So that everyone is aware, Tryanuary has been extended until the end of lockdown- whenever that may be. So, in the meantime please share your support on social media by using #tryanuary or #tryanauryathome. The industry needs our help and a little goes a long way. We hope you have a great time getting involved, enjoy!
